TRANSITION
UPDATE
After months of interviews, meetings, site visits, prayer, and the help of the Vanderbloemen Group, the Elders of Redeemer's have offered the Lead Pastor position to Billy Rieder. Billy has accepted the position, and we are all very excited for the way God has worked through this transition process and for the future and direction of Redeemer's. Billy will assume his role as Lead Pastor on April 1, 2020.

A MESSAGE FROM BILLY AND CHRISTIE
Billy, his wife Christie, and their two children currently live in Brentwood, CA, where Billy has been Campus Pastor for Cornerstone Fellowship since July of 2010. There he has served as a teaching pastor and led a staff of fourteen. He co-managed a new 36,000 square foot building project, served on a church-wide leadership team that helped direct overall vision and strategy, as well as helping train, educate, and advance the multi-site vision and mission of Cornerstone.

After graduating from USC in 1995, where he met his wife, Billy earned two master's degrees from Fuller Theological Seminary. He grew up on a dairy farm in McMinnville, Oregon, his mom lives in Salem, and his sister lives in Portland. The Rieder family enjoys hiking, Disneyland, and watching USC football.
WHAT MOST MOTIVATES YOU TO FOLLOW AND SERVE JESUS?
"The primary motivator for me is the love and grace of Jesus. The Gospel is the most transforming force in my life as I was changed when He rescued me and filled me with His Spirit. He has been so good to me! He accepts me and loves me as His son - this is what motivates me as an individual, husband, father, and pastor. My passion is to be the kind of man who can reflect the Lord to others, albeit imperfectly - but the focus is always on the fact that He made the first move to secure my redemption in His love."

Pray for the Rieder family as they work through all that goes into making this big transition... selling their home in California, finding a new home in the Roseburg area, all the preparation for the move, and all the details to fall into place. As we await the arrival of their family with open arms, pray for them as they leave the home, friends, and church family that they know and love.
SEARCH PROCESS
Steve Walker, our current Lead Pastor, is looking ahead towards retirement in fall of 2020. The Elders of Redeemer's Fellowship have the responsibility to shepherd our church, and an important part of that shepherding is the responsibility in choosing our next Lead Pastor. This webpage will provide information as to the search process, progress, and prayer needs. Information will also be shared via weekend services and our Community Groups.
